Experience
I have been a pianist,vocalist, song writer and employed as a church musician since the age of 9. During this time I have been responsible for teaching and conducting choirs of all ages for the community and out of state services. While persuing my college education, I wrote and submitted some of my original songs to the Gospel Workshop of America, these songs were recorded and have been played on local and nationwide radio stations. I have opened piano teaching studios for upcoming pianist, instructing them on the fundamentals of music by teaching music theory, technique and style. I recorded my first CD called "Surrender" showcasing some of the songs I had written over the years in an effort to minster the gospel. After graduation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I have had experience working at Birmingham City Schools and Bessemer City Schools. I am presently the Choral Director of Bessemer City High School where I instruct the Freshman Choir, Concert Choir and the Ensemble. I have proudly served the Bessemer City School System for approximately 19 years teaching middle and high school. I recently graduated from Boston University with a Masters Degree in Music Education advancing my music trainaing skills hopes of better serving our students.
