I am a 13 year Veteran Administrator with an educational background in English and Special Education.  I have supervised all areas of the school including athletics.  I earned a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State in Speech Pathology & English as well as a Master of Education, and an Educational Specialist Degree from Alabama State in Educational Leadership.  

I work diligently with the community to sponsor organizations that mentor students.  I feel mentoring is an influential personal and career development tool that will empower the mentee to attain or surprass their life's goals and dreams.  Currently, I work with E21 Mentoring Program, Limitless Mentoring Group, Marvel City Mentoring Program and The Female Empowerment Activities/Program.  

I am driven by a personal sense of responsibility to always be the best that I can be.  I look for opportunities daily to leave Bessemer City High School a better place than when I entered it.  I do this by encouraging students to aim high and always pursue their dreams, despite any obstacles they may encounter.  I believe that though each student's pathway is uniquely different, they each have the power to suceed.
