Greetings from Nakia Browning, the 9th Grade Boys and 11th Grade School Counselor of Bessemer City High School.  The staff and students here are great and I am glad to be working among them as the school counselor.    

I am a native of Bessemer, Alabama.  I attended Alabama A&M University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master's Degree.  I also have a Master's Degree, and Certification in School Guidance from the University of Montevallo.  

My role as a school counselor has truly been rewarding.  We the members of the Administrative Team know that it is our parents who make the difference in our children's lives.  We are all genuinely vested in our children's educational success.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need my assistance with a question, concern, or just someting to share.  Wishing everyone an amazing school year!!!
